like if they call and e-mail though you show them you are disinterfested. cana broken heart make someone act silly and still call and e-mail hoping you might care? or sympathize?

Absolutely....A person will always have a broken heart after a breakup until they get closure. You need to tell that person that you dont think it will ever work out so that they can start dating again and get on with their life if thats the way you feel.
