How will I know the IP address of a malicious e-mail sender? Is there any program to trace that?

If so, what program can I use?

its difficult to tie down to an exact address, but the users ISP should be able to do that if you make (a serious enough) complaint
Reply:Look in the headers of the email (in the view menu) this will show you the ISP that the email came from but this information can be spoofed.

Then send an email to the emailers ISP usually abuse@hisISP.com. Includ ethe heards and his abusive email.

He should have his account shutdown quite quickly.
Reply:If I were you, I'd report it to the FBI if you feel threatened by it. I am sure they would have a way to trace the person and their IP number.
Reply:Norton firewall. I would just block sender
Reply:block the sender or email them back saying i will call the police or repot you to yahoo
Reply:No the address is likely spoofed so tracking down the culprit

is a waste of time if your getting bombarded with spam or

Nigerian e-mails.
Reply:Nort and Mcafee have this facility
