When making an E-Mail account, many peronal info such as name, address, postal code, etc, are asked. Is it possible to be tracked and located through your E-mail address ?
When signing up for websites, do they have access to the personal info we fill in ?
Is it possible to find where you are through your E-Mail Address ?
For webmail, your location can't be identified unless you put in the correct information (which i never do).
Everywhere you go, your IP is recorded, even for webmail, so if something SERIOUS was done (like threatening a government official) you *could* be tracked down. It would have to be a serious offense for anyone to work that hard to find out who you are.
If it's email through your ISP, then you're far easier to locate.
Reply:yes, never use real information, make the name address and everything up
Reply:YES the FED's have tracked many people down though E-mail ( at least the source of the E-mail ) so do it legally..
Reply:from your IP Address, one can find out your ISP, police can call ISP and find out telephone number
